Heavy Menstrual Bleeding (HMB) affects one in three women but 63% feel there is a stigma attached to having the condition, although 80% feel it should be discussed more openly, according to Bayer. However, with HMB difficult to define, 64% accept it as a ‘normal part of life’ while 43% seek information online rather than going to see their GP, with almost a quarter avoiding a doctor’s visit because of embarrassment and stigma.
