Joanne Badger from Leukaemia & Lymphoma NI talks about celebrating 60 years of the charity set up to raise money to support local researchers and the science behind helping improve treatments and outcomes for blood cancer patients in NI.
For 60 years the Fund has worked to fund leukaemia research taking place in the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast City Hospital and Queen’s University.
Today LLNI funds research to many different types of blood cancers and related conditions such as myeloma, myeloproliferative neoplasms and myelodysplastic syndromes.
