Our Parlour hosts Helen and May Q visit the Shankill Bethel Pentecostal Church to hear and talk to the Khulula Choir from the Challenge Ministries in Swaziland. Comprising children and youth who are under the Challenge Ministries Swaziland Care Programmes the choir delivered their note-perfect renditions of songs of praise in both SiSwati and English accompanied by traditional dancing.
The Rev Kevin Ward, Director of Challenge Ministries, who accompanied the group, explained that the choir members all come from difficult family backgrounds or who had be rescued from the street. The ministry offers the children education and job training.
